JoyThriveCare Introduces Voice-Enabled Smart Home Solution Designed for Senior Living

New technology brings together AI-powered assistance, smart home controls and ambient sensors to support resident independence, connection and well-being.

PHILADELPHIA, October 26, 2026-ThriveWell Tech, CareDaily and JoyLiving today announced JoyThriveCare, an integrated smart home solution designed specifically for senior living communities. The technology will be previewed at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting, October 25–28, in Philadelphia.

JoyThriveCare brings together an AI-powered voice assistant, smart home controls and ambient sensor technology in one integrated system. Designed with the needs of older adults in mind, the solution offers a simple, conversational way for residents to manage everyday activities, stay connected with family, and engage with their communities. It also includes capabilities intended to help community teams recognize when residents may need additional assistance.

Making Everyday Living Easier

At the center of JoyThriveCare is Joy, an AI-powered voice assistant that allows residents to interact with their surroundings through natural conversation.

Residents can ask Joy to adjust to lighting or room temperature, play music, check the weather, connect with family members, or access information about community activities and dining. The technology is also designed to support reminders for appointments, medications, and daily routines.

By bringing these features together in one system, JoyThriveCare aims to make smart home technology easier to use while supporting residents' independence, comfort and connection.

JoyThriveCare also incorporates ambient sensor technology designed to detect potential falls and changes in daily activity patterns that may indicate a need for assistance.

These capabilities are intended to provide community teams with timely information to help them assess residents' needs and respond appropriately. The technology is designed to complement existing care practices, supporting the important role associates play in resident safety, service and well-being.

This perspective helped inform a solution designed around the people who live and work in senior living communities.
