Alwan, a digital health and aging services technology expert and former Executive Director of LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST), brings nearly two decades of experience in healthcare technology, and research.

In his previous role at LeadingAge CAST, Alwan was responsible for leading a coalition of more than 400 technology companies, aging services organizations, businesses, research universities and government representatives in product development, prototype testing, technology evaluation, and technology-enabled care model deployment.

“We are thrilled to have Majd on board,” said ThriveWell Tech CEO Nick Patel. “He is a visionary with a stellar record and passion for delivering projects that improve the lives of older adults. His cross-discipline background, management experience, and in-depth knowledge of the technology for the senior living and care providers sector make him an excellent add to our team. As a skilled collaborator, he’s joining our mission to bring people together to advance the senior living space fueled by technology advances.”

Alwan launched Digital Health & Aging Services Technology Strategic Advisory, to provide consulting to a wide range of providers, technology companies, including start-ups, investors, and policy makers on issues related to technology and business innovation in the aging services sector.

“I am excited to join a global, world-class IT and technology services company that is focused on the aging services sector, owned by an innovative not-for-profit aging services provider organization, and hence knows this sector’s needs, challenges, domain-specific applications, and opportunities first-hand,” Alwan states.
